Scholarship and Financial Assistance

Education is of such fundamental importance for every society that the seeking of education is often considered by many thinkers as a fundamental right. However, financial compulsions of modern market-based economy have made education a commodity. The rising costs of education often make it inaccessible to students from the weaker and underprivileged sections of society. Scholarships provide the much needed financial assistance to seekers of education who cannot afford it otherwise. The college assists students in availing scholarships sponsored by the state and central governments and from various non-government organizations. Besides, the college runs a policy to support the education of bright students going through hardships on the basis of merit. A recent example of such philanthropic initiatives is the grant of full concession in fees for all those students who have lost their parents in the Covid-19 pandemic.
